The SLU Summit for Food and the Environment will investigate the question: “How will we feed a growing population, in a changing climate and in an equitable and sustainable way?”
The summit will open at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 5, in the Pere Marquette Gallery, DuBourg Hall, with remarks by Frances Pestello, Ph.D.
Gary Nabhan, Ph.D., a leading thinker in sustainable food systems will give the keynote presentation. Following lunch, SLU faculty members representing diverse disciplines will present on their current work and on future research directions.
The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics will provide refreshments.
The summit will conclude at 6 p.m.
