The University Theatre presents Antigone as it opens its 2017-2018 season on Thursday, Oct. 12.
The play will run Oct. 12 to 15 and will be performed at Xavier Hall.
Performances are scheduled for 8 p.m. on Oct. 12, 13, and 14. The curtain will rise on the Sunday, Oct. 15 performance at 2 p.m.
Directed by Lucy Cashion, assistant professor of theater, this season’s interpretation of the classic Greek play was developed in collaboration with Prison Performing Arts. Written by Sophocles, the play explores themes of civil disobedience, natural law and fidelity as its characters struggle with the choices they make.

Tickets are $8 per show for regular admissions or $28 for season tickets. Students can purchase per-show tickets for $5 or season tickets for $18.
