Pharmacology and Physiology Louis D'Agrosa Memorial Lecture

Joseph Bass, M.D., Ph.D., the Charles F. Kettering Professor of Medicine and director of the Center for Diabetes and Metabolism at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine, will deliver the Department of Pharmacology and Physiology’s Louis D’Agrosa Memorial Lecture. The lecture is set for noon on Tuesday, Oct. 24, in Auditorium B, Learning Resources Center.

Bass will present “Circadian Integration of Energetics and Metabolism.”

The lecture honors Louis D’Agrosa, Ph.D., (Grad Med ’62). D’Agrosa went on to serve as a member of the Department of Pharmacology and Physiology at SLU until his death in 1983. D’Agrosa studied the control of cardiac rhythms and was a popular and respected teacher and mentor to medical, dental, nursing and allied health students. D'Agrosa's love of family, students and science was an inspiration for many, and is remembered by an annual lecture.
