Law Students for Veteran's Advocacy (LSVA) is sponsoring the Black, White, and Yellow Ribbon Ball from 7 to 10 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 11, at the Scott Hall rooftop pavilion.
Students, faculty, staff, community professionals and sponsors are encouraged to attend.
The cost is $30 per ticket. Tickets include food and an open bar, music, dancing, Color Guard, a static military uniform display, guest speaker State Representative Paul Curtman, and a POW/MIA ceremony.
The event also will include a "Penny War" between the five represented military branches. Coins dropped in the bucket will be worth one point per the coin’s face value and dollars dropped in the bucket will deduct 100 points from the total. The winning branch will be announced at the end of the night.
Guests may purchase tickets online through SLU Marketplace.
Proceeds from the event will be used for a School of Law scholarship awarded to a veteran law student or spouse.
