The next session of the Live Well series, “How to Receive Criticism and Make it Work for You” will be held from 11 a.m. to noon, on Thursday, Jan. 11, in Room 251, Busch Student Center.
The program will be presented by SLU’s Employee Assistance provider, ComPsych, and will center on positive ways to receive and use criticism. This workshop will help participants explore why people become defensive, deliver tips for knowing when a person’s “hot button” has been pushed and how to accept and integrate useful criticism. The training will also instruct through examples and/or role plays.

Live Well is part of the Employee Wellness program for SLU employees. Live Well is facilitated through Human Resources with the purpose of addressing personal, spiritual, and financial well-being. Speakers include SLUCare physicians, faculty, staff, and outside partners who volunteer to share their expertise. Sessions are intended to be educational and interactive with audience participation. Attendees are eligible to receive 35 Vitality Points for attending a session.
