The Institutional Review Board (IRB) will offer a combined training, "Submitter 101/eIRB 1010," from 9 to 11 a.m., on Friday, Dec. 1.
The Submitter 101 course covers the basic history and mission of the IRB; how to determine which research projects require IRB review; choosing the right forms to submit; the submission and approval process; and tips for using the eIRB system successfully.
The eIRB 101 course will cover how to use the electronic IRB (eIRB) submission system, including how to access the system, create and manage protocols and their subsequent submissions, obtain appropriate signatures and approvals, and other system tips and tricks.
The course is open to SLU students and staff how are newly involved in research or who are looking to refresh IRB-related skills.
For those who are unable to attend the last session, the IRB will host a make-up session before the end of 2017.
For more information about this course, other IRB educational opportunities or questions, contact Rachel Millinger or call 314-977-9813. Log-in instructions will be emailed upon attendees' RSVPs.
