Neuro@Noon, the Neuroscience Journal Club affiliated with the Saint Louis University Center for Neuroscience, will meet Thursday, Dec. 7 at noon in Room M360, Schwitalla Hall.
Michael Ariel, Ph.D., will present a recent paper in the Journal of Neuroscience, “Active Touch and Self-Motion Encoding by Merkel Cell-Associated Afferents.”
The article’s research deals with a universal neuroscience issue as to how neurons respond to the location of a visual, auditory or somatosensory stimulus within the brain while the eyes, ears or skin are also moving in space.
Neuroscientists throughout Saint Louis University are all invited to this interdepartmental journal club. All students, faculty, staff and the general public are welcome. During the 2017-18 academic year, the club will meet on the first Thursday of each month.
