The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience will hold a Grand Rounds from 8 to 9 a.. on Thursday, Dec. 14, in Lecture Hall 3, Schwitalla Hall.
Gerald A. Maguire, M.D., will present the annual Henry and Amelia Nasrallah Endowed Lectureship in Psychopharmacology. The talk is called “The Biologic Basic and Pharmacologic Treatment of Stuttering.”
Maguire is professor and chair in psychiatry and neuroscience at the University of California, Riverside’s School of Medicine where is also associate dean of graduate medical education. Maguire earned his medical degree from SLU in 1991 and is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association (DFAPA). He also serves as the chair for the National Stuttering Association and has received numerous recognitions for his work.
