The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women’s Health will hold a Grand Rounds from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 2.
Paul W. Hruz, M.D., Ph.D., associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Endocrinology and Diabetes at Washington University School of Medicine will present, “Gender Dysphoria: Sorting Out Science and Ideology.”
The rounds’ objectives are:
Review DSM-V criteria for the diagnosis of gender dysphoria (GD) and associated controversies.
Delineate past and current approaches to treating gender dysphoria.
Discuss the potential benefits and risks of the current WPATH/Endocrine Society GD treatment guidelines.
