The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience will hold a Grand Rounds from 8 to 9 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 15, in Lecture Hall 3, Schwitalla Hall.
George T. Grossberg, M.D., Samuel W. Fordyce Professor will present, “Senior Moments: Mild Neurocognitive Disorder and the DSM-5.”
Grossberg is a diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners and a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. He began the first Geriatric Psychiatry program in Missouri, as well as the first Alzheimer’s Disease Community Brain Bank. He is a consultant in the development of protocols for central nervous system disorders in older patients, and is involved in a variety of basic as well as clinical research projects in the area of dementing disorders, with a focus on behavioral disturbances in Alzheimer’s disease.
