'Achieving Justice after Ferguson and Campus Demonstrations' Conference

The Office of Diversity and Community Engagement, along with the Black Student Alliance at Saint Louis University, is hosting its first conference Thursday, Aug. 4 through Saturday, Aug. 6, at the Center for Global Citizenship.

The keynote address(es) will be given by Osagyefo Sekou, who is a pastor, author and theologian, along with SLU alumnus Etefia Umana, who serves as the chairman of the board for the Better Family Life.

The theme of this conference is "Achieving Justice after Ferguson and Campus Demonstrations."

All sessions are free and open to the SLU community as well as to the general public.

Parking is available in the visitor section of the Laclede Garage, or at meters along Laclede Avenue.

The Center for Global Citizenship (CGC) is located at 3672 West Pine Mall. The CGC includes occupant centers and offices housed in neighboring Des Peres Hall. Both buildings are easily recognizable by the array of international flags lining the rooftops. The nearest intersections to the CGC are Laclede Avenue and Grand Avenue and Laclede Avenue and South Spring Avenue.
