Saint Louis University will hold a reception featuring remarks by alumnus, trustee and benefactor Dr. Richard A. Chaifetz, and SLU leaders from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 22, in the atrium of the Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business.
The reception honors the generous contribution that Dr. Chaifetz and his wife, Jill Chaifetz, recently made to SLU. The couple increased their giving to the University to $27 million in total contributions. The sum includes $15 million to the School of Business.
To honor the couple’s contributions to business education at SLU, the University has announced that, effective immediately, the business school will be named the Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business and the school’s entrepreneurship center will become the Chaifetz Center for Entrepreneurship.
The reception is open to the SLU community and general public. The University will hold a formal celebration and naming dedication event later this year.
