The Department of Theological Studies, with support from the College of Arts and Sciences and the Office of Mission and Identity, will hold another public conversation on pressing social issues on Monday, Feb. 26, from 7 to 9 p.m., in the Carlo Auditorium, Tegeler Hall. The conversation is part of the department’s “Religion and Social Complex Issues” series.
Monday’s conversation topic is free speech on college campuses, with special attention given to the unique challenges faced by a religiously affiliated university.
Those attending will consider questions including the limitations of free speech, whether hate speech can be considered free speech, and other aspects of the debate.
Pizza and drinks will be provided.
