"The Face of Clemency" will take place at noon, Tuesday, March 6, in Room 1066, Scott Hall.
Judy Henderson, a 68-year-old grandmother who spent 35 years in prison for a murder committed by her boyfriend, was granted clemency by Missouri Governor Eric Greitens in December 2017.
Henderson will talk with students about her life, her time in prison, and the challenges of moving into a world of cell phones, computers and social media after decades of incarceration and disconnection from many aspects of society.
The Saint Louis University School of Law Legal Clinics teamed with private lawyers to work for Henderson's release for many years. Her case was also advocated for by Christopher Collins, S.J., assistant to the president for mission and identity.
