Keynote Address: 'Whose Justice, Whose King?'

Jeffrey McCune, Ph.D., of Washington University, will give the opening oration as part of the keynote event kicking off SLU’s “From Selma to St. Louis, Martin Luther King Jr. and the Pursuit of Justice 50 Years Later,” bicentennial symposium, at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, in the Sinquefield Stateroom, DuBourg Hall.

J. Kameron Carter, Ph.D., of Duke University, will give the keynote address, “Whose Justice, Which King? (On America’s Postracial Blues.”

The event is sponsored by the Bicentennial Committee, Department of Theological Studies, Office of Diversity and Community Engagement, College of Arts and Sciences, Office of the Provost, Office of Mission and Identity, African-American Studies Program, and Office of the Vice President for Research.
