The Department of Neurology will present at Neurology Grand Rounds from 8 to 9 a.m. Thursday, April 19, in Lecture Hall 1, Schwitalla Hall.
Christina A. Gurnett, M.D., Ph.D., will present, “De Novo Genetic Variants and the Contributions of Parental Age to Neurodevelopmental Disorders.” Gurnett is a professor of neurology at Washington University in St Louis. She heads a basic science research laboratory that studies the genetic basis of pediatric musculoskeletal disorders, including clubfoot, scoliosis, and Chiari malformation. In addition to co-directing the Clinical and Translational Core of the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Center, she was recently named the associate director of the Institute of Clinical and Translational Sciences at Washington University.
