The Department of Neurology will present at Neurology Grand Rounds from 8 to 9 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6 in Lecture Hall 1, Schwitalla Hall.
Pratap Chand, D.M., will present, “Advances in Deep Brain Stimulation For Parkinsons Disease.” Chand specializes in movement disorders, deep brain stimulation, and botulinum toxin therapy. He uses electromyography guidance for botulinum toxin injection. His research interests include microelectrode recording during deep brain stimulation, and improving methods of programming deep brain stimulation. Chand is a professor in the Department of Neurology and is the director of Movement Disorders, and director of the Division of General Neurology. He has presented his research work at international conferences, has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, and has written several book chapters.
