The Theatre program in the Department of Fine and Performing Arts will hold auditions and technical interviews for the University Theatre’s Spring productions on Sunday, Jan. 13 from 5 to 8 p.m., and on Monday, Jan.14, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the University Theatre in Xavier Hall.
The auditions and interviews are by appointment and open to the SLU community. Contact the production office at firstname.lastname@example.org for an appointment.
The Misanthrope: one comedic, classical monologue, memorized (for example, a monologue from any of Shakespeare's comedies or any Molière play)
Godspell: 1) A 32-bar (60-90 second) cut of a contemporary musical theatre song (suggested style of Jason Robert Brown, Stephen Schwartz, folk rock, contemporary Gospel or pop). Choose something that allows YOUR character to shine through. We encourage you to show us your upbeat, zany and energetic side. An accompanist will be provided. Please bring sheet music.
2) A short contemporary monologue (30-60 seconds) from a play or musical.
