Prison and Place: Religion, Justice, and Untold Experience of Mass Incarceration

Thursday, 04 April, 2019

This event gathers a panel of faculty, community organizers, and students to speak to the crisis of mass incarceration in the U.S. and in Saint Louis, with a discussion to follow. Vincent Lloyd, Associate Professor at Villanova University, will speak on the topic of his forthcoming book "Break Every Yoke: Religion, Justice, and the End of Mass Incarceration." Other panelists--including a specialist on matters of immigration and detention, a local community organizer, and a student activist--will speak to the intersection of incarceration and immigration. Pizza and drinks will be provided.

The event will be in Tegler Auditorium.
