Advocacy Call In Day is a day to call elected officials to share your stance on an issue. For this call-in day, the Center for Service and Community Engagement will connect the legislative topics to the weeks events and outside advocacy organization priorities on immigrants and refugees. Students then will have a chance to take action on everything they learned throughout the week by calling (or writing letters) to officials. During advocacy days, students are provided with call scripts and resources about the topic/bill they are calling and phone numbers to connect with the offices. Call In days typically take place in the Center for Service and Community Engagement, but the location can change per the committees desire. We also anticipate having snacks available for students throughout the day!
The event will be in Wuller Hall Room 204.
