The 1818 Community Engagement Grant program awarded 18 grants of $1,800 each to groups of students and faculty members committed to making a positive impact in the local community. By partnering with a local community organization, each of these projects aimed to address such issues as education inequality, youth trauma, environmental sustainability, immigration, and healthcare disparities.
All 18 groups will be showcasing the impact that their project had on the community. Food and drink provided, plus a chance to win an I-Pad Pro! The overall mission of the grant program is one of community engagement focused on a variety of social justice issues, one of which is immigration.
The event will take place at the Center for Global Citizenship.
