Wefel Center: Dunsford Award Presentation and Panel Discussion

The William C. Wefel Center for Employment Law presents the 2019 Dusford Award to John J. Ammann ('84), McDonnell Professor of Justice in American Society and director of the Litigation Clinic at SLU LAW.

The presentation will take place at 4 p.m., Monday, April 22, in the Louis W. Riethmann Jr. Pavilion of Scott Hall.

Following the award presentation, there will be a panel discussion featuring the following panelists:

  • - Rochelle Balentine ('10), Field Attorney, National Labor Relations Board
  • - Christopher Grant, Partner, Schuchat, Cook & Werner
  • - Rebecca Phoenix, Plaintiff, Phoenix v. Summer Institute of Linguistics

The Wefel Center for Employment Law is honored to present this year’s John E. Dunsford Award to John Ammann (Law '84), the McDonnell Professor of Justice in American Society and director of the Litigation Clinic at Saint Louis University School of Law. The award recognizes his exceptional achievement and service in the field of labor and employment law. The presentation of the award will be followed by a panel discussion of Professor Ammann’s work in the field helping low-wage workers and unemployment claimants receive a more just share from employers and society.
