A Talk by Justice MacMenamin of Supreme Court of Ireland: ‘The EU: Beginning of the End, or End of the Beginning?’

Saint Louis University School of Law will host the Hon. Mr. Justice John MacMenamin of the Supreme Court of Ireland, who will give this talk at 6 p.m., April 16, in the Louis W. Riethmann Jr. Pavilion of Scott Hall. A reception will begin at 5:30 p.m., and the event will conclude at 7 p.m. 1 MO CLE credit available.

Justice MacMenamin will be giving another talk at noon on April 15, in Scott Hall room 1166, titled "Courts, Constitutions and Populism." No CLE credit will be offered for the noon talk, but all are welcome to attend.

Justice MacMenamin was appointed to the Supreme Court of Ireland in February of 2012. Since his appointment, he has decided a number of cases with a human rights dimension, addressing issues such as the rights of asylum seekers, children in need of special care and treatment of prisoners. He has been engaged with SLU LAW since 2015, hosting alumni in Ireland and first visiting the law school in April 2017.
