'Unequal: How America's Courts Undermine Discrimination Law'

Thursday, 18 April, 2019

The William C. Wefel Center for Employment Law will host Sandra F. Sperino, J.D., at noon on Thursday, April 18, in Scott Hall room 1066, who will discuss her book Unequal: How America's Courts Undermine Discrimination Law (co-authored with Suja A. Thomas). Lunch will be provided.

Sperino is the Judge Joseph P. Kinneary Professor of Law at the University of Cincinnati College of Law. She teaches in the areas of civil procedure, torts and employment law. Her scholarship focuses on employment discrimination, and her recent work focuses on the intersection of tort and discrimination law.

Unequal: How America's Courts Undermine Discrimination Law provides an in-depth examination of discrimination laws that judges have failed to enforce and offers a ground-breaking analysis of why most employment discrimination cases are dismissed.
