Campus Ministry is hosting a training session for students, faculty and staff members who are interested in serving the SLU community as music ministers, ministers of hospitality, servers, lectors and extraordinary Eucharistic ministers. The session will take place at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14, in the Ecklekamp Center for Campus Ministry.
Trained student ministers participate in the Sunday 4:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. Masses at St. Francis Xavier College Church as well as the residence hall masses. Faculty and staff members who have been trained are invited to participate at any SLU Masses they attend, particularly on Holy Days and special occasions (e.g. Mass of the Holy Spirit).
The Sept. 14 training session will begin with prayer, check-in and a light breakfast. Training sessions will follow and will end by 11 a.m.
Register online on the CM website soon.
Any faculty and staff members who are interested in being trained as university liturgical ministers should email Liturgy Coordinator Erin Schmidt to set up a time.
