Elizabeth Todd-Breland, Ph.D., assistant professor of history at the University of Illinois at Chicago, will lecture on “A Political Education: Black Politics and Education Reform Since the 1960s,” as part of the African American Studies Program’s Freedom Dreams Lecture Series, at 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20, in Room 332, Xavier Hall. A book signing will follow the lecture.
The series features talks by African American women scholars in the academy. Todd-Breland’s talk is taken from her award-winning book of the same title.
