Medical students at Saint Louis University will honor those who donated their bodies for medical education with an interfaith memorial service at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, in St. Francis Xavier College Church.
The service is organized with the support of the Department of Campus Ministry by first-year medical students and led by faculty and staff from the Center for Anatomical Science and Education (CASE).
Each year, people donate their bodies to SLU School of Medicine's Gift Body Program through the Center for Anatomical Science and Education to educate medical students, allied health students, residents and educators.
In addition to reading prayers, the students also perform the music, create the artwork, and give personal reflections.
