Campus Read 2019: Katherine Dunham and Haiti Discussion and Physical Experience

Joanna Dee Das, professor of dance at Washington University, will discuss how the renowned twentieth-century choreographer Katherine Dunham forged connections between Haiti and the United States through dance at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23, in the University Theatre, Xavier Hall.

Ruby Streate, Dunham dance choreographer, will discuss an oral introduction about the legacy of Dunham and a physical experience in the Dunham Technique accompanied by a live percussionist and dancers.
