The Department of Communication at Saint Louis University will host a Presidential Debate Watch Party Sunday night, Oct. 9, in SLU's Center for Global Citizenship, 3672 West Pine Mall.
There will be streaming coverage of the debate, free food and small group discussions immediately following the debate. Doors open at 7 p.m. The watch party officially starts at 7:30 and the debate starts at 8 p.m.
The watch party follows the success of the first presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump Wednesday, Sept. 26, when nearly 400 students, faculty and staff turned out for the event.
SLU also hosted Primary Watch parties last spring when more than 175 students attended each event to watch results from the Iowa Caucus, New Hampshire Primary and Super Tuesday.
The Department of Political Science is hosting a watch party for the Wednesday, Oct. 19, debate and also is planning to host an election night event.
