Postponed: 14th Annual Pediatric Science Days: 'A Tribute to Dr. William Keenan'

The Department of Pediatrics will hold its 14th Annual Pediatric Science Days and Symposium, A Tribute to Dr. William Keenan, on Wednesday, April 1, and Thursday, April 2. 

Wednesday, April 1 Events Summary:

Sherin Devaskar, M.D., Distinguished Professor of Pediatrics and Mattel Executive Endowed Chair of the Department of Pediatrics at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California-Los Angeles (UCLA), will present a Grand Rounds at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, April 1, in the Danis Auditorium, SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital.

Devaskar is the physician-in-chief at the Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA, assistant vice chancellor of children’s health, UCLA Health, and is the executive director of the UCLA Children’s Discovery and Innovation Institute. 

The remainder of the day will include recognitions related to the work of William Keenan, M.D., and a basic science lecture by Devasker, to be held in the Doisy Research Center.

Thursday, April 2 Events Summary:

A day-long Research Symposium will be held in the Danis Auditorium, SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital. The symposium highlights diverse areas of research related to children’s health and well-being and is intended to promote cross-University interactions. The symposium runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

After the winners of the symposium are announced, attendees are invited to remain in Danis Auditorium for an informal reception with the Department of Pediatrics’s visiting professor.  This is a meet and greet with light hors d'oeuvres and drinks.  Registration to the Visiting Professor reception is mandatory.
