Christina Greer, Ph.D., professor at Fordham University and author of Black Ethnics: Race, Immigration, and the Pursuit of the American Dream, will give a keynote talk in honor of SLU’s celebrations of Black History Month at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 19, in Room 251, Busch Student Center.
Greer will discuss “Challenges to Democracy: Activism, Education, and the 2020 Elections,” as part of a larger book talk. A reception will follow.
The talk is sponsored by the African American Studies Program, Departments of Political Science, American Studies, and Women's and Gender Studies as well as the Office of Diversity and Community Engagement and the Office of the Provost.
