Our mission is to empower, create opportunities and make a social and economic impact. To serve as a platform for new and aspiring food purveyors, creative entrepreneurs and small business owners. To promote education, job training, and to provide access to wholesome healthy food.

- Farmers Market Volunteer: Assisst with coordinating the Saturday Farmers Market, working with vendors, sponsors, nonprofits and others to provide a great farmers market experience.

Remote/virtual opportunities include:

- Social Media & Marketing Intern: Assist with a range of marketing initiatives including tracking analytics for social media campaigns, creating social media posting schedules and writing captions for social media posts. Assist with copy writing development, and social media coordination.

- Event Manager: Assist with devising and coordinating imaginative events, competitions and original multimedia events (both live audience and video).

- Volunteer Coordinator: Assist with the recruitment and management of volunteers and the arrangement of volunteer events and programs. Assisting with on-boarding/ training new volunteers, assigning them to particular jobs, tracking their volunteer hours, providing support, evaluating volunteers and conveying the organization's purpose to the public.

The mission of the BBB serving Eastern Missouri and Southern Illinois, is to help make the entire region a better place in which to live, work, and do business by encouraging positive, ethical business practices.

- Mediator: Assist customers and companies in settling disputes amicably. To provide guidance and educate customers who are having problems with businesses. To suggest ways for companies to gain good will of customers, through resolution of customer’s complaints. To retain constant neutrality.

- Education and Outreach Coordinator: To further City Greens' community health and communication programs, specifically: Partnering with community organizations like Midtown Community Services to promote healthy living; Coordinating visiting field trips and educational tours; Building and executing a communication plan; assisting with marketing and communications at the market.

The volunteer will gain experience implementing meaningful family activities, providing building blocks for successful futures. The ideal volunteer is committed to expanding the ConnectKids experience. Organize FAMILY engagement opportunities.

Employment Connections works to assist individuals with limited opportunities to self-sufficiency through employment.

- Accounting Assistant: Assist the accounting department with duties and responsibilities associated with finances and reporting. This opportunity is available during regular business hours.

- Computer Assistant: Assist clients with basic computer skills, online employment activities, resume, cover letter, and application completion. Possibly facilitate computer training sessions with clients. Assist staff with computer issues when needed. Resource room and computers are accessed by clients Mon-Fri 9:00 am to 3 p.m..

- development Assistant: Assist the development office with research for grants and program proposals, planning of agency events, and the production of marketing plans and materials. development Assistants can volunteer during regular business hours.

The Foster and Adoptive Care Coalition, a proud member of the United Way, is a non-profit agency that strives to create permanency in every foster child's life by recruiting and supporting foster/adoptive homes in the Metropolitan community.

- [RE]FRESH Store Volunteer: Clothing resale store; proceeds support the mission of the Foster and Adoptive Care Coalition. Volunteer duties include: assisting customers, cash register, supervising youth volunteers, window displays, assisting with dressing rooms, customer service, etc.

- Foster Friend: We have several Foster Friends outings with the kids throughout the year as well as other childcare opportunities. These activities are fun, in-person events where we take kids impacted by foster care out for a fun afternoon while their caregivers get some much needed rest. Since our Foster Friends events are in-person and one-on-one with kiddos, any volunteer interested in participating needs a clean criminal background screening

The mission of Home Sweet Home is to give under-served families a sense of pride and to improve the quality of their lives by providing basic household furnishings.

- WareHouse Volunteer: Assist with a number of ares including: checking electronic appliances to see if they work; Assembling furniture donated to us from a warehouse of returned purchases; Putting together dish kits and sorting silverware; Moving beds for storage in the garage up to the shelves in the warehouse; General furniture assembly and cleaning.

- Administrative Tasks. Assist with office duties such as stuffing envelopes, social media updates, and more.

JA of Greater St. Louis' volunteer-delivered, kindergarten-12th grade programs help students understand how to manage money, explore what it means to start a business, and be better prepared for the future of work.

The goal of NSEC is to reduce or eliminate unemployment on the Near Southside by: · Developing job referral relationships with employers across the metropolitan area. · Screening and referring qualified applicants for available positions · Providing job skills through training at our locations · Training for job readiness and motivation · Working to reduce artificial barriers to employment, such as travel to jobs.

The Resale Shop is a charitable project of the National Council of Jewish Women St. Louis. We sell high-quality new and gently used clothing, jewelry, home goods, accessories, and more for the entire family. Donations from local businesses, NCJW members, and the general public support The Resale Shop. Proceeds benefit women, children and families in St. Louis through our community service programs and advocacy work.

- Sales Floor Associate: Provide customer service to shoppers. Work with Store Manager to maintain an upscale resale store.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a lay organization which leads women and men to join together spiritually by offering person-to-person service to those who are in need. Assistance is done through a parish conference to visit people in their homes to give assistance for utilities, rent, medicine, etc.

- Conference Volunteer: Opportunities to work with a local Parish Conference of SVDP, at food pantries, doing home visits and other projects.

- Thrift Store Volunteer: Various responsibilities include; assisting donors with their donations, shoppers with their purchases, stocking/organizing the sales floor.

SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Foundation provides the financial support to help SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital provide world class pediatric healthcare to all children, regardless of their families ability to pay.

Assisting with fundraising events, processing toy donations and delivering items to the hospital, assembling mailings to donors and community partners, making calls to recent donors to say thank you.

Opportunities are available throughout the week, depending on the time of year and event schedule. We have an online volunteer portal where volunteers can view upcoming opportunities and sign themselves up to serve.
