Summer at SLU Takes Top St. Louis Summer Program Honors for Fifth Year

It is the fifth consecutive year that Summer At SLU has been honored by the organization operated by the Clark-Fox Family Foundation that helps connect local families with summer programming throughout the St. Louis region.

Summer At SLU was listed in the top 20 most searched summer programs out of 8,734 camp sessions posted on Blueprint4Summer.com in 2019. SLU’s summer activities program won the award on Tuesday, Sept. 17, at an annual summit of summer camps in the St. Louis area.

This year, Summer At SLU hosted more than 70 K-12 camps and academies, including 14 new programs in technology, medicine, creative writing, art and music.

“Summer At SLU continues to have a significant impact and presence in the St. Louis area,” Troy Hargrove, director of SLU’s Summer-Winter Office, said. “Our office works tirelessly to market and showcase the exceptional K-12 summer programming that takes place on our campus, and this award is a great reflection of the incredible SLU members that make Summer At SLU a reality each year.”

Summer At SLU partnered with Blueprint4Summer in 2015 to help spread the word about K-12 camps and academies that take place from June through August on campus. Blueprint4Summer posts each Summer At SLU camp on their website, with links to their respective registration pages.

Next summer's camps and academies will be published on summer.slu.edu in January 2020.

Summer At SLU, located within the Summer-Winter Office at Saint Louis University, aims to provide exceptional summer camps and academies to K-12 students in the St. Louis region and beyond. Programs offered include athletic camps such as soccer, basketball and swimming as well as academic camps such as theater, creative writing, engineering, medicine and technology.
