Financial Aid Packages

SLU ranked #78 of 829 colleges and universities in the United States and #2 of 19 Missouri schools for its financial aid packages.

“Saint Louis University is clearly doing a great job at helping its students afford their education,” said Dave Rathmanner, who is author of LendEDU’s report on best colleges for financial aid.

In compiling the report, LendEDU used data from 2017-18 data from Peterson’s Undergraduate Financial Aid Database and the National Center for Education Statistics.

Schools were ranked based upon scores for need-based financial aid, non-need based financial aid and international financial aid. Need-based financial aid scores were weighted most heavily at 60% because these students require the most help in paying for college.

LendEDU’s report is designed to help prospective students find colleges and universities where they are likely to receive great financial aid packages, Rathmanner noted.
