Pastoral Care Calls for 'Caring Physician' Nominations

The Pastoral Care Department of SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital is seeking nominations for its 2017 Caring Physician Awards. Those selected will be honored at noon, Oct. 27, in the Hospital Chapel, on the day celebrating St. Luke, the patron saint of doctors and physicians.

Nominations should be in writing and should give examples of how the nominated physician lives out Saint Louis University’s mission, “For the glory of God and the health of God’s people,” and SSM Health’s mission statement, “Through our exceptional health care services, we reveal the healing presence of God.”

Nominations will be accepted until Sept. 4 and nomination forms are available in the nursing units in SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital. Those interested in nominating a physician can also call the Pastoral Care Department at 314-577-8066 or email. Completed forms can be given one of the hospital chaplains or faxed to 314-268-5331.
