Teams Can Compete in Geriatric Case Competition

The Division of Geriatric Medicine invites students from all health care professions to participate in the 4th Interprofessional Geriatric Case Competition.

Students will collaborate with a team of four to five other students and a faculty mentor on a geriatric-based case focused on the creation of a discharge care plan for an older patient with multiple chronic health challenges. Each team will create and present an innovative 20-minute electronic case presentation to a panel of judges from all disciplines and compete against other teams for the opportunity to win cash prizes.

Registration is open until Sept. 20. To register, email with the participant’s name, discipline and year/program level, and University email address to aging@slu.edu.

This competition is open to Saint Louis University students as well as Washington University, Maryville University, students from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, and other academic institutions. Videos of past winners and student comments are also available.
