Faculty Writing Group Seeks New Members

07/24/2017

The Faculty Writing Fellows Program is seeking four to six members to take part in an interdisciplinary Writing Group in the Humanities.

The group will focus on book and article writing in disciplines including history, English, theology, philosophy, modern and classical languages and American Studies. While the group is open to faculty of any rank, the program will give priority to assistant and associate professors who aim to complete monographs to meet the standards for tenure and promotion.

The group will meet bi-weekly for the duration of the academic year beginning in late August 2017. Participants will work not only to refine prose and ideas but also to overcome stumbling blocks common to many large projects such as procrastination and writer’s block.

Those interested in taking part should contact Mark Edward Ruff, Department of History, with a brief description of his or her current writing project and reasons for joining the group.
