October Deadline to Complete ITS Security Training

SLU employees have until Oct. 3 to complete required security awareness training about ensuring the physical safety of the University’s data, network and other information technology (ITS) resources.

The training is available through a link on the Home tab in MySLU. The training will last between five to seven minutes through SkillSoft and covers basic security awareness topics. The module has a pre-test that allows users to test out of the training.

Those employees who do not complete the module by Oct. 3 will be required to do so before proceeding in MySLU.

The training was announced in April as part of the Information Security Awareness Training program through ITS. The physical safety training module became available on July 27.
