Memory Clinic Open for Appointments

07/17/2017

The Medical Family Therapy Program is accepting patients for its new Memory Clinic on Mondays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The clinic is a service offered in the Center of Counseling and Family Therapy in Morrissey Hall. The clinic offers a comprehensive range of services for older adults with memory challenges and other mental health issues.

Graduate and doctoral students will offer therapy services to individuals and families working through issues including dementia, depression, caregiving challenges, end of life issues and family conflict.

A Rapid Geriatric Assessment is offered to individuals who want a screening for memory problems, nutritional health, muscle strength and frailty.

A Cognitive Stimulation Therapy group is also available for individuals with mild to moderate dementia. This group aims to help stimulate memory and overall mood for those with cognitive challenges while participating in group atmosphere with fun activities.

To schedule an appointment for any of the clinic’s services, call 314-977-2505. For more information, contact Max Zubatsky, Ph.D., at 314-977-2496 or by email.
