Nominations Open for Atlas Week Speakers

The Atlas Planning Committee is accepting nominations for keynote speakers for the 2018 Atlas Program. The event will run from April 7 to 14, 2018.

Last year’s annual Sam and Marilyn Fox Atlas Week, held April 1 to 8, 2017, included 145 events. The week’s total attendance topped 7,400, making it the largest program in University history with respect to attendance.

Faculty, staff and students from across SLU took part in the program, which highlights the international research and activities that are a part of SLU community life and the University’s multicultural dimensions. Events took place in St. Louis as well as at SLU-Madrid. SLU-Madrid hosted its Atlas Week program with 21 events. Alison Thompson delivered last year’s keynote address, “Serving Humanity: Start Small, Dream Big, Act Now!” The theme of 2017’s Atlas Week was “Visions for Global Change: Start Where You Are. Do What You Can.”

Nominations for 2018’s keynote speakers can be sent to Michelle Lorenzini, Ph.D., and nominations should include a biography of the nominee and a video link if available.
