June Security Patches Out June 19

Information Technology Services (ITS) has released June’s security patches for Microsoft Windows to all PCS as of June 19. Users can manually install the updates by following the step-by-step instructions on the ITS Web site. The patches will be automatically installed by ITS after 4 a.m., June 23.

The patches are intended to protect PCS from vulnerabilities and viruses.

Updates do not apply until the computer is rebooted. ITS advises users to restart their computers on Friday and to do so as a general practice several times weekly.
