SLU 200: Parade Your SLU Pride This Thanksgiving Day

11/13/2017

SLU community members who have always dreamed of being in a parade can seize their chance this Thanksgiving Day as part of Saint Louis University’s bicentennial year.

In celebration of the University's bicentennial, SLU has been asked to be a co-grand marshal of the downtown St. Louis Thanksgiving Day parade on Thursday, Nov. 23. As part of the SLU celebration, a group of 40 to 75 people are needed to join the Billiken and to walk in the parade to represent the University.

Students, faculty, staff members, alumni and Billiken families are invited to take part by walking and wearing their SLU blue in the parade.

The time commitment is from approximately 8 to 11 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning and breakfast treats will be provided to the SLU Crew.  Those participating will receive a custom Billiken hat and scarf to keep them cozy along the route.

Complete event details including staging location and parking will be sent to participants in advance of the Nov. 23 parade. For questions or more information, contact Meg Connolly.
