End-of-Life Care Communication Study Seeks Volunteers

11/13/2017

A research study about older adults and communication about end-of-life planning and care preferences within their networks of family and close friends seeks volunteers.

Participants should be 65 or older, have some type of formal advance care planning completed and should have the legal authority to make health care decisions. The formal advance care planning could include a living will, health care power of attorney or other documents.

Those taking part in the study will complete a survey interview about their family relationships and communication about end-of-life-preferences and values.

Participants who meet the inclusion criteria for the study will receive a $30 gift card upon completing the survey interview.

For more information or questions, contact April Trees, Ph.D., or call 314-977-3144.

The Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocol for the study is 28400 and was approved on Sept. 27, 2017.
