Local Turkeys Available for Order

The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics is taking orders for locally-sourced Thanksgiving turkeys until Wednesday, Nov. 15. The Buttonwood Farms birds will be available for pick-up on Monday, Nov. 20, and Tuesday, Nov. 21.

A $10 deposit is required. Credit card, check with Banner ID or cash orders are accepted.

Turkey breasts, averaging five to seven pounds, are available for $7. Full turkeys are $3.99 per pound and birds up to 25 pounds are available.

Orders can be placed via email to Laura Rettig or dropped off at Room 0045, Salus Center, lower level. Those placing orders by credit card must give a credit card number to hold the order. There is a $50 cancellation fee if the order is canceled after Thursday, Nov. 16.

Birds can be picked up at the Salus Center loading dock between noon and 4 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 20, and between 8 a.m. and noon on Tuesday, Nov. 21.
