Academic Tech Commons to Celebrate Grand Opening

The celebration for the opening of the new Academic Tech Commons (ATC) in the Pius XII Memorial Library will take place at noon on Tuesday, Nov. 14.

The ceremony will include brief remarks, a blessing and post-ceremony refreshments. ATC team members from Pius Library and ITS will be on hand to answer questions about the different spaces and showcase the technologies available to SLU students, faculty and staff.

The ceremony, which will take place outside the south entrance to Pius Library, marks the culmination of over two years of a collaborative design, planning, and construction process.  During this time, SLU worked closely with a team of architects from Ratio and designers from ColorArt to engage the SLU community in the design and visioning process that resulted in a new and innovative concept bringing together state-of-the-art technology, flexible and creative spaces and a collaborative support model all into one unique location.

The SLU community is invited to celebrate this innovative new resource. In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved to inside the ATC.
