Over 700 High School Students Talk 'Trep' at SLU

Over 700 high school students from more than 70 high schools showcased their entrepreneurial talents at Independent Youth's TrepStart Day on Monday, Oct. 30. Trep is short for “entrepreneur” and was hosted in conjunction with Saint Louis University's Chaifetz Center for Entrepreneurship.

Independent Youth is a nonprofit dedicated to empowering today’s youth to become tomorrow’s business leaders and innovators.

The assembled students learned about entrepreneurship from members of Independent Youth’s national network of teen entrepreneurs including five who appeared on Shark Tank

University President Fred P. Pestello, Ph.D., gave the day’s opening remarks. Jeff Platt, founder of SkyZone, was the event’s keynote speaker.
