Admissions Hosting Events for Prospective Students

10/06/2017

The Office of Admission will host two events for future Billikens and their families this month.

“Preview Day with the Princeton Review,” will take place on Monday, Oct. 9. This half-day open house experience will allow prospective high school and transfer students and their parents to learn more about Saint Louis University.  Activities include a special presentation from the Princeton Review; "Secrets of College Admissions," a SLU-specific admission presentation; a panel of current students; and a presentation on financing a college education. The academic and information fair will feature one representative from each undergraduate major as well as many student services departments.  Students can also attend a session on studying pre-medicine. Campus tours and an opportunity to browse of the new residence halls will also be offered. Applicants can take part in their admission interview and admission staff will be on hand to answer any questions for students or their parents.

“Select Saturday,” will take place on Saturday, Oct. 27. “Select Saturday” is a campus visit program. Prospective students and their parents will attend an admission presentation, current student panel, and a campus tour. Students who have an interest in the Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business or Parks College of Engineering, Aviation and Technology can also attend special activities that include tours of the classrooms and lab space, lunch with current faculty, and the opportunity to learn more about the majors and concentrations offered.

For more information about both programs, contact Andrea Hitsman, assistant director for campus visits at or 314-977-2420. Registration is required and more details will be available upon registration.
