SLU Announces New Affiliation with Anthropedia

11/02/2017

The Office of Mission and Identity has established a new affiliation with the Anthropedia Foundation, a 13-year-old non-profit group that applies evidence-based approaches to health and well-being for the whole person. The foundation also works to develop resources and training opportunities that promote the sustainable well-being of the whole person through decreasing rates of lifestyle and stress-related illness.

The foundation’s director, Kevin Cloninger, will introduce Anthropedia’s work to the SLU community at an open house, sponsored by the Office of Mission and Identity at 4 p.m. on Tuesday. Nov. 7, in the Pere Marquette Gallery, DuBourg Hall. A reception and networking event will follow Cloninger’s talk.

As part of the event, Cloninger will also speak about Anthropedia’s year-long Well-Being Coach Certification program, which prepares helping professionals for work in the field of preventive health and well-being.

Refreshments will be provided during the reception.
