Applications Outage Planned for Oct. 6

A number of SLU applications will experience an outage during database upgrades from 5 p.m. through midnight on Friday, Oct. 6.

Oracle databases supporting the mySLU portal, Banner, ODS, and password.slu.edu will receive a database upgrade.

During the upgrade, the following applications will be impacted and unavailable during the outage:

  • Activity Insight
  • Internet Native Banner
  • Banner Self-Service
  • Cliqbook & Concur Expense
  • Cognos Reporting
  • password.slu.edu
  • Payment Suite
  • Qualtrics Survey Tool
  • Service Desk Password Tool
  • SLU 101 Registration
  • SLU Appointments
  • SLU Connection (Groups)
  • SkillSoft
  • Student Housing
  • SurveyDIG
  • TaskStream
  • Automic Job scheduler (jobs on hold)
  • WebFocus Dashboard and Report Delivery System
  • WebXtender
  • Workflow processing
  • Billiken Buy

A redirect will be in place for the mySLU portal and the following applications on the Tools tab:

  • Blackboard Learn
  • Cards/Stationery Orders
  • Facilities Service Request
  • Google Apps
  • IT Service Request
  • MyFiles
  • OASIS
  • PeopleFinder
  • Reveal
  • SendThisFile
  • SLU Card eAccounts

The reporting database will undergo an upgrade after the database upgrade and will continue to be down until 5 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 7. This includes Cognos and WebFocus.
