Expert to Present 'Ten Propositions in Higher Education'

10/31/2017

David Warren, Ph.D., the longtime president of the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities and the past president of Ohio Wesleyan University, will present “10 Propositions about Higher Education” at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 2, in the St. Louis Room, Busch Student Center.

The talk is part of a new speakers series aimed at sparking dialogue in the SLU community about the rapidly changing landscape of higher education as SLU pursues its strategic goals.

The series has also launched a new website for the project and has posted its first talk by Jim Hundrieser, Ph.D., online for the SLU community. Hundrieser’s presentation is also available.

Warren’s presentation is open to all SLU faculty, students, and staff. The talk had previously been set to take place in the Anhueser-Busch Auditorium in Cook Hall.

Hundrieser spoke on Friday, Oct. 20, presenting “Macro Trends in Higher Education.” Hundrieser is an associate managing partner with AGB Institutional Strategies, a consulting service of the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges that focuses on new business models in higher education.
